2012 in review

31 Dec

The stats helper monkeys prepared a 2012 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

600 people reached the top of Mt. Everest in 2012. This blog got about 2,000 views in 2012. If every person who reached the top of Mt. Everest viewed this blog, it would have taken 3 years to get that many views.

Molly Brown

Let me introduce to you, one of the next great Canadian Musicians, Molly Brown!  The Toronto native is currently attending Berklee College of Music in Boston.  You can visit Molly’s website to hear her newest original music.  Here at Canadian Content Machine, we can’t wait for her first album.

Molly has 8 songs on her MySpace page and all are original.  My favorites are “In the News”, “Yesterday” and “How Far We Go”.  All eight songs are great but these three stand out to me!

Check out Molly’s song “Steamroller” on her YouTube page, it’s a great song!

Atom and the Volumes

I came across this band on twitter and instantly became a fan.  Toronto born lead singer Marc Atom Borins has an unbelievably smooth voice to go along with stellar guitar and drums! The rest of the band includes Bradley Snider on guitaryeys/Drums/vocals, Michael Grundy on drums/bass/guitar and Gabe Kugelmass on bass/guitar and vocals.

Lick your tears is one of my favorite songs off the bands recent 5 track EP.  You can listen to 15 of the guys songs on Sound Cloud

Check out Atom and the Volumes newest video “To The Beat”  I’m a big fan of the breakdancing Joker figurine part of the video!  “To The Beat” is easily my favorite song, the guitar playing is amazing.  The bands main website is  and here is their MySpace
